Terms & Guidelines

By applying for, accepting, or maintaining membership in IBIAN Club Ltd., you agree to be bound by these Terms & Guidelines, the Club's Memorandum and Articles of Association, and the Club Bylaws as amended from time to time.
1. Organization & Legal Status
IBIAN Club Ltd. is a company limited by guarantee, duly incorporated under the Companies Act (Act XVIII) of 1994, bearing registration number C-209551/2026, with its registered office situated at Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Club operates under its Memorandum and Articles of Association. The Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University Kushtia shall be the Chief Advisor/Patron of the Club by default. Founder Members are the permanent subscribers to the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
2. Membership Categories
A. Primary Members (Voting Rights)
Founder Members: Persons admitted prior to the Club's formal inauguration. Perpetually exempt from annual subscriptions and initial membership fees at the Club's inception.
Donor Members: Individuals who have contributed the specific membership fee prescribed for Donor Members (Tk. 5,00,000).
Life Members: Individuals who have settled the membership fee prescribed under Article 13(b) (Tk. 2,00,000).
General Members: Individuals who have duly attended and voted in the Club's General Meeting and settled the applicable charges (Tk. 50,000 admission + Tk. 12,000 annual subscription).
B. Affiliate Members (Non-Voting)
Honorary Members: Serving/retired faculty of IU Kushtia or persons of high social standing. Exempt from fees.
Corporate Members: Organizations introduced by a Primary Member. Fee is Tk. 2,500,000 payable in a single installment.
Associate Members: Members of the Faculty, Pro-Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, and the Treasurer of IU Kushtia.
Dependent Members: Children of Primary Members aged between 21 and 27 years. Required to settle 50% of the annual subscription fee prescribed for General Members.
Temporary Members: Individuals contributing significantly to the Club's activities for specific durations. Exempt from fees.
3. Eligibility & Application
Membership is open to Ex-students (alumni) of Islamic University Kushtia admitted 1985–86 onward, aged 27 years or older, University Personnel (Faculty and Officers), Family Members, and Distinguished Persons. Required documents include: Completed application form, NID/Passport, Recent photographs, Academic proof, and Prescribed membership fee.
Applications are reviewed by the Executive Committee within 60 days. Rejected applicants may appeal within 30 days. Reclassification is permitted by paying the prevailing difference in membership fees.
4. Membership Fees & Subscriptions
All membership fees are payable in a single, non-refundable advance payment at the time of admission. Donor, Life, and General category admission fees are subject to a 50% increase every two (2) years, commencing from January 2026. The annual subscription for General Members (Tk. 12,000) shall be subject to a 20% increase every two (2) years.
Founder, Donor, and Life Members are permanently exempt from paying annual subscriptions. Any General Member residing outside the country for a period exceeding 360 consecutive days is exempt from annual subscriptions for that period.
5. Cessation of Membership
A person's membership shall cease upon written resignation, failure to maintain good financial standing, death, disqualification under Article 17, termination by resolution for conduct unbecoming of a member, or expiry of the specified duration. Upon cessation of membership, no refund of any fees or subscriptions shall be admissible.
6. Member Conduct & Obligations
Members are expected to uphold the Club's core values of Integrity, Brotherhood, and Excellence, maintain good standing by settling all financial obligations on time, attend General Meetings, refrain from any conduct that brings the Club into disrepute, comply with all rules and regulations, and respect fellow members, staff, guests, and property.
7. Amendments to Terms
These Terms and Guidelines may be amended by a resolution of the General Body, a resolution of the Executive Committee, or any amendment to the Memorandum and Articles of Association duly registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies & Firms, Bangladesh.
8. Digital Platform & Website Use
Access to the digital platform is provided to verified members. By accessing the platform, you agree to use it solely for lawful Club-related purposes, maintain confidentiality of login credentials, not attempt unauthorized access, and not post defamatory or offensive content.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute shall be resolved through the internal dispute resolution mechanisms of the Executive Committee, then through the General Body, and as a last resort, through the courts of competent jurisdiction in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
